Brooke Henson, APRN, FNP-C, CBN

Brooke is a nurse practitioner and received her Master of Science in Nursing from Southern Adventist University in Family Medicine. She has been a nurse for more than 20 years. She has worked with bariatric surgery patients since 2002 and serves as our Bariatric Surgery Clinical Coordinator. In 2007, she was amongst the first group of nurses who became nationally Certified as a Bariatric Nurse. In 2023, Brooke attained Certification as a Bariatric Nurse Practitioner. She is also Certified in Obesity Medicine.
Brooke provides care for both pre and post-surgical patients, provides patient education, and performs laparoscopic gastric band adjustments. She is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) where she serves as an Integrated Health representative for the Endoscopic Procedures Committee, the Tennessee Chapter for the ASMBS, and the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC).
Mary Ballard, RD, LD

Mary is a registered and licensed dietitian. She provided public health nutrition counseling for seven years prior to joining our team. Mary works with patients to develop personalized nutrition plans. She will help you set nutrition goals tailored to your preferences and health needs. Mary is highly regarded dietitian with extensive expertise in nutrition and patient care.
Christy Skiles, CMA

Christy Skiles, CMA, is a certified medical assistant with a strong background in bariatric patient care and clinical support. With several years of experience in healthcare settings, Christy assists patients through each stage of their journey, from intake to follow-up, ensuring they feel supported and informed. Known for her compassionate approach and attention to detail, Christy works closely with the team to provide high-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Graham Brannan, LCSW

Graham Brannan, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker. He received his Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama. Graham supports you in managing the personal and social changes required to sustain a lifestyle change. Graham has more than 19 years of experience supporting bariatric patients.
In addition to providing guidance to patients, Graham leads support groups for bariatric surgery patients.
Edelweiss von Maack, MS, AGNP-C

Edelweiss is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with Advanced Certification in Obesity Medicine from the Obesity Medicine Association. With over 12 years of experience, she is passionate about helping patients achieve sustainable weight loss through a compassionate, whole-person approach. Her background includes a Master’s in Nursing Administration and extensive work in adult and geriatric care.
Edelweiss has guided patients through their journeys in a variety of settings, including underserved primary care, student health, and women’s hormone therapy. She is committed to creating a warm, inclusive environment where every patient feels heard, supported, and empowered.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys hot yoga, exploring nature, international travel, and spending time with animals.
